I can't say this enough, but I have STOKED for this project. It is going to be hands down the best looking tower in the Boise skyline in my opinion.

WOW, and I just noticed how the change is exactly what arkhitektor suggested... I wonder if anybody involved in the development read these boards?

This building is just going to look so beautiful... it's exactly what our skyline and downtown needs right now.
I REALLY like how they redid the building. It looks Freakin' awsome!!!!!! Plus, the spire looks somewhat taller

This was posted on their facebook page on January 25th...

8th and Main Boise
"UPDATE: Since our big announcement in September, our architects and engineers have been hard at work to prepare the documents to turn in for building permit this April. We are still on track to begin construction June of this year!"

Sounds like it will really happen this time.

Is Zions occupying the whole building? Does any one know if and how much of it will be leased to other businesses?

Utah developers aware of the skepticism over Boise's Downtown 'hole'

“Boise is a jewel,” Gardner said. “I know that this is an important building for Boise right now. Filling up that hole will do a lot to restore confidence.”

Since unveiling the project last Monday, response from people interested in becoming tenants has been “phenomenal,” Ahlquist said.
“I’m worried we are not going to have enough space,” he said. More floors may be added to the proposed building.

Zion's Bank

I haven't been here for a while, I thought this would have been started by now. I see that it will be started in April. I can't wait to see the photos and I hope they add a few more floors to it as well. This will be a nice addition to your skyline.

Since I created this thread I'll be doing my best to update photos as soon as the construction has started. I walk by there almost every night so there probably won't be a time where i won't get a chance to take a lot of picture. Heck, I'm fine with Sawtooth taking them as well with his camera.

Hawk, how do you feel about beginning a fresh new thread once we know the final floor count/height and construction has commenced, and I can retire this thread? This way all of the fun will begin right on the first page with updates, photos, etc. If all goes as planned, we should see construction begin soon.

ps...of course this thread will still be the main source of info at MW SSP until a new one is created..let me know what you think

I like Boise....

A Beautiful city and kind of an anchor for progressive cities that have real future potential. I mean it not in a BS way but in a real kenetic potenial.

However, showing the Zions bank building over and over again is kind of a yawn. I really like the overall layout of what Boise is going to be.

Give the images of buildings that are not being built a rest.

I do not care what you think but Boise looks totally cool and on top of it.

A guy that I work with here in NYC just lost his girlfriend after 4 years to Boise.

Why would you complain about seeing too much of this building in the thread created for it? If you don't want to see the Zions Bank building 'over and over again' don't read the thread....

Although I don't mind Zions' global HQ tower in Salt Lake, I would take this one over it any day.

Why do you always have to be so negative about everyone's post? Like the above message says, this site is meant for that building!

You are NYC Rick, go post in New York...! Oh of course you never do because they will probably eat you alive for being such an ass!

NYC Rick likes to play in the Boise threads once in a while.

Some advice for our friend; Alcohol + blogging = stupid & meaningless comments.
