I wouldn't be surprised if these ones sell out in a matter of days, considering what's gone on recently in the immediate area.
All depending on pricing. I hope they price it very sharply (even if it is below market) just to get this condo sold and move on to the next one. The sellout would create buzz and news in the papers that would help sell the next project.
I saw that the hair salon and the tailor at Station Square in the lower level passage have closed. The hair salon has a note saying it is because of the redevelopment.
Station Square is slowly becoming a "ghost" area.
Sleep Country had already moved to the Nood location last month. Other tenants like TD bank, Boston Pizza etc most likely will move or close down.
However I have not heard anything about the development application approval. So it is odd why tenants need to leave so soon.
There is a sign inside Save-On saying that it will be open throughout the construction. I wonder if this means that they'll knock down the parkade and build a new Save-On on that side, then relocate to it, and then replace the old one?
It's too bad they couldn't do this all at once, instead of the 8 to 10 years it says in the article. I'm not sure how they're going to keep the whole site organized looking over that stretch of time.

Talked to someone working at the Red Robin there today.. their lease is up in 2014 and they are staying until then at least, as is the Boston Pizza next door. It's probably safe to say that they're going to knock down the parkade first.

It makes sense to develop the packade first. Some mall customers might not be too happy as there will be a lot less parking space available.
I am not sure whether TD Canada Trust can stay though as it is right next to the parkade.

But with all the construction around the restaurants, you can be sure that their businesses will be affected regardless. I would not want to be in a construction zone area while eating lunch/dinner unless I have no choice.

I thought there might be some forum members that didn't know the story. No-one was killed, might be why the story of Cave On Foods has largely faded from memory, unlike the 2nd Narrows or Bentall 4.
