Smile NEW YORK | 303 E 51st St| FT| 30 FLOORS | ON HOLD

HFZ Capital is reviving a stalled project located at 303 E 51st Street on 2nd Ave.

An image of the tower's lower half can be seen on its website, http://www.hfzcap.com. The tower was designed by SLCE.

I remember this one. Its the tower that was stopped after the infamous crance accident. It has been lowered from its original height.

There are actually two towers going up here.

One is at the crane collapse site. They're going to use the shell of that structure to build one of the towers (the tower under discussion in this thread). They're currently negotiating with the city how to safety remove parts of the structure.

Then there were some damaged buildings when the crane collapsed. Those buildings were demolished, and there's another tower going up there. There's a thread on it at the Wired New York site.
