Great pics! I've always wanted to go to Cuba. I definitely would like to go before it becomes "Disneyfied" and before American franchises start infiltrating it.
I know two people (former co-workers, actually, and both Americans) who went to Cuba. One went by way of the Yucatan peninsula; the other went by way of Mexico City. Both were able to go because one is a filmmaker, the other was able to secure a visa by saying he was there as a documentarian (he went with his friend who was doing a documentary on Cuban music).
