It has been a few months since my last DC thread; let's fix that. Below are photos of Anacostia, Arlington, Bloomingdale, Brookland, Cap Hill, Dupont Circle, Petworth, and the SE & SW Waterfronts. Sprinkles of Columbia Heights, Downtown, and Logan Circle, too. Enjoy!

Fantastic! You've really captured the soul of DC.
What's #54? Is that a library?

That looks like the DC I know.

Out of curiosity, what do you tell your subjects to put them at ease enough for a portrait?

Great photos that capture DC's many different neighborhoods.

This is the new Arena Stage theater: http://www.arenastage.org/ . The old Arena Stage building is still encased within the new building.

The Foundry Lofts has become one of my favorite buildings in DC. I adore what they managed to do with it.

I've been by this CVS a few times before and I always think it looks as though I'm being flipped off.

Pretty good stuff. You've got some great angles. What camera have you been using since moving to D.C. (aside from iPod/iPhone)?

Great thread, great photographs, great city. Funny, I still admire DC, but don't miss it. I did my time there. Done.

DC is so underrated as a row house city. Just beautiful.

Some people say DC is northern. Some people say it is southern. Some people say it is neither and is purely Mid-Atlantic. This thread proves that DC definitely has some Suthern in it baby!

Great pics!..Beautiful neighbourhood shots.Glad to see some D.C on here..On my bucket list of places to visit for sure.
Just curious.. Here in Ottawa, with a height restriction, there is a business district with 20 story + buildings. D.C is about 6 times the size, and I always wondered if there is a business area with some sort of sky-line?..I know that there is a height restriction there as well, but I always wondered that.

Nowhere in the city proper. Though Rosslyn has a highrise cluster right across the river. D.C.'s office buildings make up for their lack of height via their large footprint and the expansiveness of the downtown area.
