For those of you who are interested, WTTW has an excellent series of videos that explores Chicago. There's a tour of the Loop, an exploration of the neighborhoods by the L, a tour via the river, and more. Mr. Baer, the host, does a wonderful job of inserting historical context, as well.

So far, I've greatly enjoyed the videos. You'll likely learn a lot from them.

Geoffrey Baer is awesome. All of his pieces are totally captivating. I highly recommend "Biking the Boulevards" - it's truly about the most under-appreciated parts of Chicago and its history.

OMG, Geoffrey Bear programs are available for online streaming! I watch those shows religiously, it's taking a college course in Chicagology.

Last year we were talking about a show narrated by Geoffrey Baer about AM Stern because he won the Driehaus prize last year and I had wondered whether this was going to become a yearly thing. Yesterday I watched this years episode on Michael Graves so I guess it will become a yearly tradition. I am not a huge fan of classical architecture but it still is interesting learning about these architects.
