I love the gritty mood to your entire road trip. SXSW is a very unique experience that is hard to explain to anyone who hasn't been there.

Downtown Tulsa looks like some pictures I have seen of Houston/Dallas/Atlanta/etc from the 1970s. In other words, a strange time warp.

Austin being awesome as usual, and I see OKC is perpetually under construction...

I don't mind the heat, really. I've experienced 120F in Egypt and it didn't bother me too much. Same for Miami in the summer (and I think it was worse than Egypt with the humidity)

The lower central of North America gets a little spicy in it's own way...New Orleans in July is a pretty good test. Miami isn't so bad...

Killer road trip! Did you camp the entrire way?

SXSW is one of the most unique events ever at such a big scale. Great time of year to be in Austin as well.
