I think it's a real sign of progress that the city isn't facing anymore layoffs, and that we're still able to do big things in Houston even in the midst of a tough economic climate. Projects like the rail construction are fully funded, the Dynamo stadium just opened up, and an aggressive new plan to link the city's bike network has been approved. Parker has done a great job as Houston mayor so far.
