A bit of a retrospective, I guess. These were taken over the 18 months that I called Portland home. Since I recently had to move to Vancouver, WA I thought I might look back:

The script kiddie thread subject makes me want rip my eyes out, but the pictures are great.

Having finally made it to San Francisco and Chicago over the last couple of years, Portland and Seattle are now 1-2 on my domestic to-visit list.

Nothing to complain about here...this is a one of a kind thread. If I were a photographer & saw this i'd throw my camera away right now.

I love how unapologetically trashy Portland can be. What a one of a kind city, certainly unique in America. Fabulous photos!

Seems like the city has a very bohemian vibe to it... looks like a very laid back and pleasant place to call home.

Ha, yeah, I never thought about the title coming across that way. It's just the way I wrote "Portland, OR" as my location description on SSP for the whole 18 months that I lived there. For some reason it seemed to fit.

Oh, you know, Vancouver is Vancouver. It's definitely a change of pace over here, and somewhat of a different world altogether. I'm adjusting and finding things that I like, but I'd be lying if I said it was my first choice. Nevertheless, I have really enjoyed gaining a different perspective on the Portland region. That's at least partly why I moved here.

40 Subarus, give or take one. Absolutely unheard of in the deep South.

Great pics as always! You are only a bus ride or a 15 minute car drive from central Portland. NO EXCUSE that you don't come over and snap some pics every now and again and post them.

Would suck if ya didn't!

Great shots! I always love streetscapes. Some really pretty lighting in a few of them too.
