Thank you! So nice to be able to make a quick visit to an old friend.

How'd you get away with taking so many pictures inside.

the MoMA is one of the few major museums I've been to that is actually lax on taking photos. You captured two of my favorite paintings in the world, I and the Village by Chagall

and Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World (the story behind this painting is really moving/heartbreaking).

yes, tdawg is correct, you can take pictures of everything in the permanent collection, but not special exhibitions. I hope no one had their hopes up for seeing more of Cindy Sherman. I'm not really much of a fan. I admit that initially her images are provocative and arresting (in large part simply because of their sheer size!), but after a while it all seems rather gimmicky. I guess it hasn't hurt her from becoming a big (and rich) art world star, like others that go back to the 80's art boom, like Jeff Koons (the basketballs in the aquarium--oops, I mean equilibrium tank sculpture--don't get me started!!)

btw--a version of Warhol's "Double Elvis" sold the other night for $37M at Sotheby's, but I noticed that unlike the MoMA's, the left Elvis is barely visible. I wonder if it was discounted
