It amazes me that SF's tallest under construction is getting such little interest. When tower one was being built it had a live cam, and we still had updates every week.

To bad I don't live in the bay area any more.

well here is one pic i found online. Unfortunately its about a month old

I think everyone's still interested, but will maybe be more interested once construction really gets under way. I like that these two are different heights, and face opposite directions. Have you seen the model in the lobby?

Here is what I could find of the model from around 2009. The design may have changed slightly since the model was built.

Can see the top of the crane next to the taller tower from my apartment. Time to move this thread.

The thread gets moved when anything permanent, such as the foundation, is constructed.

They haven't even finished digging no?

Sounds like we are getting close to being able to move this thread. Now if someone can just get some photos:

Quote:
After several months of excavation and off haul, the One Rincon Hill Phase 2 project is finally at the bottom of excavation. As excavation completes, Webcor builders were able to pour the remainder of the concrete slab to complete the underpinning.

In the middle of the project site, an elevator pit was dug out and received a concrete under-slab.Waterproofing was placed in this pit on Wednesday, while rebar and concrete quickly filled it in. The project is ready for rebar installation which, upon completion, will prepare Webcor for foundation concrete pour.

it's hard to get good pics of the site, but there's not much to see yet in any case... this is what you see from across Harrison:

... and if you defy all the signs telling you not to, and cross to get a closer look, you are treated with... rebar, for your efforts:

I think I remember reading in one of the recent links that the foundation pour will be on Nov 17 or so

and I'm a little slow on the upload, but here are a few shots from this weekend (they were working onsite on Sat) - all that rain has stuff sprouting up out of the ground:

wider angle (still surprises me how small that footprint is):

and looking east, with Rincon Green in the background:

Great to see the posts recently. I will be in Rincon One for a new year eve party. This will be my friend on the 20th floor last vew of the fireworks as Rincon Two will block the view.

In a few months I'll post a picture when the Two breaks the skyline.
