completely, wholly crushed it on this set. every one a stunner. the punching bag, the girl watching the rooftop sunset, and the hot girl in the village picking her nose are my faves.

Good god, I miss NYC so bad. I grew up there from 1974 to 2001. This captures it perfectly. Thank you so much for posting this!

Very impressive you are the man. Well too it's nice to have NYC as the best urban subject in the USA, perhaps even the world.

Amazing pictures, as usual. Thanks for sharing.

NYC is always spectacular, as you show in your beautiful pictures. I like very much to see citizens in their daily life.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Wow wow wow wow

This bonus addition is of the highest quality. I'm gonna be bold and call this the best photo thread in ssp history, dethroning yourself yourself and yourself as the reigning top three.

Wonderfully done, Alec. I see the new camera is treating you well The street scenes, in particular, were incredible. I half-way expected to see myself in one of these shots Impressive work, my friend.

LOL, shut up. Who the hell are you? And don't say I am jealous, because I am friends with the OP outside of this forum.

Disturbingly vibrant. It's plain to see that in this "New" York, every effort has been made to improve over the old York. I approve.

I also approve whenever some lady appears to be wearing the pelt of a dead Muppet.

I am Pico, the Forty-fourth, of the hill tribes below the north face of Mount Barnabus. My people have long prided themselves on spotting artistic talent. You've heard of Tinteretto? Roy Rogers? Herbie Hancock? Yeah, we discovered them. We also make a particularly pungent cheese.

One of the few reasons I come to ssp is to view everyone's photo threads, very much including yours--whose pictures I adore. I have perused many hundreds, if not thousands of them, and have taken a special keenness for Sabotai, whom I consider a favorite. It may very well have to do with the fact that his favorite subject is a city I consider to be the greatest in the world; so please don't allow me and my petty biases offend you.

BTW, I love this one:

Bonus shots would have made a killer thread on their own. The emotion in your people shots is always superb, great thread.

wow, fantastic! I was trying to place the locations of everything, but was stumped on #34 (woman with pigeons & headless sculptures). Where is that?? I've decided that after these pictures my little point-n-shoot just isn't "working" for me anymore. What camera do you have? Not that I probably would be able to afford one at this point anyway

Dag Hammarskjold Plaza! In this thread, I used Nikon D800, D90 and a Panasonic GF1.

So would you say the D800 is well worth the money? (Just judging by these pics I'd say, yes.)

This pic really caught my attention. So much is going on. You have the buff army dude checkin' out the hot Asian (or is that just a douche in army cargos with a Louie belt, lol?) And then you have that Sinbad guy looking like he's ready to beat your ass if you snap one more pic of him LOL:
