Great shots of Pittsburgh, I'll hopefully be seeing it myself at some point while I'm in PA.

Haven't looked at a Burg thread in a while, this was a nice surprise. What is the building by the river in the 8th from last pic? There are people in seats by the river and a big glass structure behind them... Looks cool.

Thank you. It is a collaboration of probably 5 trips back to Pittsburgh. I typically escape the mother n laws home in Greenfield every Saturday for a few hours and go walk somewhere around Pittsburgh with my camera. That is why there is a little downtown, Shadyside, Squirrel hill, Lawrenceville, Mexican War Streets, and the Strip. I get back home typically every three weeks.

I will try to make a Pburgh thread every 6 months of my trips back home.

Mello, that is the Rivers Casino. It was completed in 2009. It has a great buffet that we hit up. I once won 100 bucks in a nickel machine paying for both of our meals one day.

Nice work. We don't see as much Pittsburgh around here as we used to.

Oh I don't know, I think Austin and myself (amongst others) have done a good number of Pittsburgh photothreads in the last year or so!

Anyhow, these are awesome shots, CubicalRebel! Next time you should come over my way in the Southside Slopes!

I honestly always wondered about the colorful building on the North side that I had shots of. I walked by it all the time on the edges of the Mexican War Streets and never knew the story behind it. After googling I found out about Randyland and Randy. Seems to be a very interesting character.

I cannot emphasize how much I miss Pittsburgh. It's such a beautiful city, everyone I know who has visited me loved it (except my father, but he likes sterile, suburban environments). I used to shop at Labads all the time! Good to see they're still around. The new Gateway Center Station looks cool as well. Thanks!
