Nice photos, I haven't been to Balboa Island in a long time. It's sad because it's only 30 minutes from me.

That's the area where I grew up. I worked in a small fishing store(http://jdsbiggame.com/) throughout high school on Balboa Island, right across the harbor from the Balboa Pavillion that you have several photos of.

I don't think I've ever been to Balboa Island, and don't make it up to Orange County very often. Thanks for these pics.

I know what you mean, I got red & crispy pretty fast on the first day wakling around Santa Monica ... the 75 degree, breezy weather is deceptive!

I spent way too much time on the beach between Balboa and Newport piers when I should've been studying in college. Thanks for the trip down memory lane
