Went to a memorial service for my uncle in N.C. this last weekend. His son is a photographer, and got my kids excited about photography. My 9 y.o. has always been the artistic type, and these are his pics that I pulled from my phone. All pictures and editing by my son. iPhone 4s and Diptic.
(I did hit this one with "I'm feeling lucky" in Picasa)

He created those at 9 years old? That's impressive; he has a good eye and he's well on the way to producing great photographs. Already his skills justify having a budget-conscious but good camera of his own.

Very cool. Get that little man a point and click and let him loose!
I actually gave my 5 yr old my old point and click and he loves taking pics with it. he takes pretty good pics too. His framing is decent but he has a tendency to touch the lens so the pictures will be blurry sometimes due to the lens being greasy. But its great to see young kids get into photography. I think its a great hobby that has brought me lots of joy over the years and has lead me to meet lots of cool people, like yall!
