New Orleans from atop Touro Infirmary

Pretty awesome views of New Orleans from atop of the parking garage of Touro Infirmary Hospital in the Garden District (Prytania St)

That's a pretty nice view! Not only are the skyline shots awesome, but also all of the steeples, rooftops, etc. Thanks for sharing these.

Prytania Street? New Orleans' street names are part of its charm, I feel. Find me another city where the street names are even half as exotic and alluring sounding.

Supposedly called that because Barthelemy Lafon planned an academy on the street (prytanée in French).

The street names in NOLA are magical. There's actually a really good book about them; it was written by a cartoonist so it's pretty funny.

Seriously, we have Deers and Rabbits Streets, Lapeyrouse, Urquhart, Rocheblave, Kerlerec, Dufossat, Valence, etc. Oh, and Bunny Friend Park.
