I'll make sure I choose a less misleading title for the next one.

In spite of his penis, it's the face that really scares me. If 1ajs had managed to get me a bike, I would have been able to call this thread "a bike ride through Winnipeg". Maybe I'll get lucky next time?

I spent $130 at Walmart today. Sorry. I also went to Canadian Tire and Loblaws Superstore.

Great pics VID! I think sometimes, us Winipeggers don't appreciate the amount of heritage buildings we have here.

Also, just an update on the Sunday hours in Manitoba, as of August 1st, 2012, the hours changed to 9 AM to 6 PM on Sundays.

Still, we have the most restrictive shopping hours in Canada.
Agreed. the exception being, we don't have to rush to get our beer before 6 pm[Ontario] or 11 pm [B.C.]

Very nice work, vid. I'm glad to see you finally do a bit of traveling, Winnipeg is a fine city. Maybe you'll be able to go to Walmart or Chapters in September .

Next up Minneapolis?

love the set of pictures!

as for your comment about the downtown fountains, i'm just wondering, maybe the blue dye has something in it to prevent the fountains from being pranked from a bottle of sunlight dish soap. winnipeg is PLAGUED by people pouring dish soap into its downtown fountains. ever since the blue hue has been dyed into all of them, you don't see six foot piles of bubbles on the street next to them anymore.....

Beer Store is open until 10 or 11pm in Thunder Bay. LCBO is open until 9 or 9:30. I am not sure why the two of them close so early down south though. This region also has LCBO-licensed private alcohol sellers, as the population is too rural for the standalone Beer Store or LCBO business models to work, so in many communities in NWO, you actually can get beer (or wine, or whiskey, or whatever) at the gas station.

Chicago is my first choice, actually. If I have the money, I will try to go there in the spring. I will probably be going to Vancouver next summer as well.

I posted a photo of the Salisbury Steakhouse restaurant on the bridge, but not the bridge itself.
