Cool Let's recreate historic skylines.

Hello! This is a thread inspired by the thread "what if names like larkin and metlife were synonomous with NYC?"

Here we are free to recreate skylines from the past/future using google earth/google sketchup or any other 3d program of choice.

Heres some of mine:

1930s NYC:

1930s Chicago:

How do you mean?

If you mean "The are historic photos of Old New York" then yes that is true... But a Photo, while giving a more "real" and emotional feel, is still limited. Recreating history in a computer setting allows us to view these from any angle and any view that we wish.
"God damn modern architect's and their Brtualism, and 'realism' and damn concrete boxes. Why I remember back when buildings had STYLE back when you would have real ARTISTS working away both inside and out!
"Um, aren't you like barely 30?"
"Thats not the point you damn whipper snapper!"
