Portland, OR - Hawthorne District Homes

From my recent visit to Portland, here are some pictures of a random walk around the Hawthorne district residential areas. Enjoy (apologies for my lack of skill and the crappy camera!)

This housing was interesting, looked like they filmed Coraline there or something!

Another shot:

Lush landscaping

Craftsman-house heaven:

Back to Hawthorne

Love this house:

Invaders!

Nice colors, blends into the landscape

Clean, serene lines

A chicken in every pot, a Prius in every driveway

?

No doubt these houses are where the tattooed hipster types you see on Hawthorne street live.

Actual multifamily housing (and a nice bakery), how URBAN!

I think this is Division or Clinton St

Yep, Clinton

My favorite beer!

Typical Portland quirkiness

The only other car permitted under neighborhood by-laws

Vaguely Japanese style

Scenes from "Blue Velvet"?

We can do better than who? Vancouver? Seattle? Eugene?

Nice!

Back on Hawthorne

Hope you enjoyed (God, my camera sucks)!

Awesome! I like the Hawthorne District. You really don't need a high end camera to capture great shots.

It strangely reminds me of...Indianapolis?!?! (specifically the Irvington area)
