ITALIA (3) ....And a nice bottle of Chianti (1)

Following on from Bologna (see thread here) and Florence (see thread here) I hiked for about 6 days through the beautiful Chianti region of Tuscany. Armed with just a map, we walked from Florence to Siena, stopping off in beautiful, idyllic villages. Needles to say the wine there is also fantastic.

Quite a few photos so have had to split them into 2 threads.

Excellent pictures, Xander202! Thanks a lot for so many shots.

I like the mediterranean landscape of that area of Italy, very similar to many regions of southern Spain, with vineyards and olive groves. Gastronomy in the region of Tuscany must be delicious.

Happy New Year and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Superb tour - brings back happy memories - that region is the nearest I've seen to paradise on earth.

It really is a beautiful part of the world. I could live in Tuscanny, though there are quite a lot of tourists in this region. I'm sure there are some lovely villages hidden away in the hills elsewhere in Tuscanny.
