High-rise apartment tower coming in Dallas’ Deep Ellum district

Quote:
Developers are launching construction of the largest new real estate project yet in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood.

Investor Westdale Properties andStreetLights Residential plan to build a 17-story apartment tower just south of Baylor Medical Center.

Called The Case Building, the 337-unit tower at Main and Hall streets will be the first high-rise apartment in Deep Ellum.
Quote:
To fit into the old commercial district, the new apartment tower will be built in what the developers call an “industrial style.” Rental units will have 10-foot concrete ceilings, exposed brick walls and open metal shelving in the kitchens.

Work starts on Deep Ellum apartment tower
Quote:
Developer StreetLights Residential hasn’t wasted any time starting its latest high-rise apartment project.

The builder has broken ground in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood on the 17-story Case Building.
Quote:
“We should turn first units for leasing in July 2017 with final completion in February 2018,” said StreetLight’s Tom Bakewell.

Per the Neiman Marcus State Historical Marker, the original Neiman Marcus was located at Murray and Elm, the same block The Case will occupy.

After burning down, Neiman's built its current flagship at Main and Ervay, moving from Deep Ellum to Downtown.

The tower is under construction. But it looks like a very good design here in Dallas.

Is this building in Deep Ellum proper, or just to the east?

Thank you! People living in this building are going to have some pretty kick-ass Instagrammable sunset pics of the skyline...
