Yep, it's an Instagram thread.

Rowhouses, gloom, skylines, patios, beaches, and grainy night shots mostly.

All shot on my phone.

I've never been an Instagram lover, but damn it all if your style and that wicked city of yours doesn't make it all come together. Great, great set for working with a phone.

this really is super. there can be some general eye rolling when it comes to instagram, but in the right hands it really allows a bit of ambiance to assert itself. this is making me incredibly angsty that I didn't get a chance to lob myself all the way around the great lakes and over to toronto in august like a satellite flinging itself around a planet of perpetual fresh water and indian summer.

Amazing compositions. I'm on my phone so can't easily link to my favourites, but the usual suspects - row houses, moodiness.

This one was a surprise favourite:

It's a bit like seeing a guy who, described on paper, you wouldn't expect to like but end up thinking is incredibly hot.

Great set. And the fact they're mobile photos doesn't detract at all. In fact, I imagine your artistry might suffer if you had to lug around a camera or tripod and the like.

this is almost reminiscent of new orleans, or something. maybe it's the power poles on the sidewalk.

Very nice. Almost an antipode and antidote to the usual touristy skyline/skyscraper views.

This thread is the answer to the question: What is Toronto for?

This. It's for all of this.

This is one of the best Toronto threads I've seen. Totally captured everything about what TO is about. Which is really hard, I think.

Holy shit - never thought about this before but Kensington totally has a NOLA look. Not French Quarter. But like, Bywater if there was a main commercial strip.

The second post is great as well. There are areas that resemble the prairie cities out west, the Atlantic cities, a bit of Montreal - and more.
