Developer: Springwoods Realty
Architect: HOK
Type: Mixed-Use
Location: 7200 Main, Texas Medical Center
Construction Timeline:

*Things are stitching together here. In 2006, Springwoods Realty purchased a large portion of this land for vertical development. Renderings of the project, designed by HOK, were discovered online in 2014. The developer purchased the last remaining parcel in December 2015; a school sits on the site. Yesterday, the school announced that they will move to a new location on or before Dec. 2018.

Master-Planned Development Could Reshape Houston Site

A towering new master-planned development could be coming to Houston near Rice University in the Texas Medical Center. Though details are currently scarce, a number of images posted online show concepts by two of the world's most notable architecture firms.

The developer purchased the remaining plots of land in December 2015, and two months later, the school announced they would relocate to a property much further south by 2018 as part of a new mixed-use project. Whatever the future holds for this site, it looks like some more details could be expected soon.

Wow I like the first one!

I hope the second design concept doesn't get built, that one looks lame :p
