World heritage site. Natural layout would be exceptional.

I remember hearing of a huge disastrous fire that damaged some part of it. That must have been rough.

They are very fond of street art, aren't they? There is plenty of it in your Santiago thread too.

The French are just a bunch of Italians that woke up in a very bad mood - Jean Cocteau.
The French? Pathetic! Always obnoxious! The total opposite of the Italians! Paris? Awfully polluted! The unbearable downtown! - (basically unattractive) Carla Bruni.

The fires of 2014 destroyed around 2500 buildings, this is the only visible damage i came across

Wow, thats an incredible city, never really heard of it before. The architecture looks very unique, I hope that fire from 2014 didn't wipe out a bunch of historic buildings. It looks like the San Francisco of Chile.

Precisely. Except topography's better, and the technology widespread locally is not quite the same yet.

The people here have it easier than San Francisco residents since they can count on around 16 funiculars (elevators) spread around the city that take them up the hills

Great photos.
Some of the best street art i've ever seen. The murals remind me of Montreal quality. The city itself reminds me of the Pacific Northwest of North America. Something about the pacific coast seems to bring out the creativeness in people, I suppose inspired by the beautiful coastline and hillside landscape.

Fuck yeah. I've heard of Valparaiso before, but these are the first actual photos I've seen of the place. Compared to what I've seen of Santiago, it seems more historic and colourful.
