I think the cloud pattern is repeated every 5 panels, so it clearly is part of the design.

There isn't any room for concrete among all that rebar. Russians sure know how to build them strong.

I also stared at the cloud pattern reflections for a while before I found the repeats, never seen that idea before.

I think the facade looks far better in reality than it has in the renderings. This complex is going to be stunning when complete.

Wow the cloud pattern!!! that is AWESOME! I never even realized that would be installed on the facade, and the rendering didn't show it, but REALLY REALLY COOL!!!!

^That reminds me of a 7WTC facade closeup.

In other words, it's good to see that Moscow's new buildings can easily compete with those in New York.

is it just me, or do all of the workers look non-russian? i'm aware russia is a multi-ethnic federation and all, but not one of the laborers pictures appears to be russian, they all appear to be central asian/chinese. is that normal for construction projects in russia?

Construction company of CF A is China State Construction Engineering Corporation. They also working on SFWC and CCTV.

If they are local workers, then they may be Vietnamese.

Actually, maybe somebody with building construction phasing knowledge can answer a question for me : why are the lower floors not being clad ? I've seen this before but I've never understood it.

Oh okay. Well thank you then. Just one more thing though ; Is it because there's too much danger of damaging the glass on those floors if there's work on the surrounding lower floors ?

The 40th floor is really floor 35-36, do the Russians have superstitious levels like China, or the US(#13)?
