DO they really need the glass bubble? It seems likie an unnecessary waste to me. I'd rather have open sky above me than a bubble that's not even completely enclosed. It seems like it will get really hot in there in the summer.

Nice one Aboveday, it's great to see some progress on P7 (the hole is MASSIVE). It's a real pity though that the buildings behind are so ugly.

The Harbourside, right next to US7 is not ugly.
Well, nobody will look at them anyway.

Yep, I definately liked the crystal version better than this box-like shape with some sort of hollow wall structure at the top. It just stinks to build a supertall box these days, when we have the technology to make something awesome. Why do the really nice proposals always have to get changed or cancelled!? Argh.

I'de personally consider the top of those walls to be the roof. Actually it really depends on how they turn out.

^Buildings in most asian countries usually build up real fast due to the strong asian work ethnic. I don't know about north american cities, but you seem surprise that it gets completed in 2007.

I think the exterior will be finished by mid- to late-2007. In any case, I can't wait
Hopefully the developers will pack some more nice surprises or goodies into the building, but I'll be fine with just what's already expected of the building. Union Square has a monstrous presence from ground level...even the Harbourside and Sorrento alone are freakin' massive. It gets me every single time I pass by. And it gets my parents, too, which is a cool bonus

The end of 2007 is 3 years and 8 months away. Plenty of time to finish this building. Look at how fast the ESB went up.
