Smile NEW YORK | Bank Of America Tower | 1,200' Pinnacle / 945' Roof | 53 FLOORS | T/O

Demolition has begun on the existing structures at One Bryant Park. All signage has since been removed and the buildings are being gutted, the only vestige is a hold-out McDonald's. In some instances on the mid-block side of 42nd street excavations have already begun.

Construction of the 960 foot building will begin in the summer.

The very last selling hold-out, the Sprint Store is now unidentifiable.

Mid-block 42nd Street. Everything west to the Conde Nast Building is the next to go.

The big hole beckens. The pile of bricks is almost artistic.

The building to the left is the next to go.

Putting the massive overhaul in context.

Can't wait to see this rise, maybe there could be a real introduction edited into the first post SternNYC? I'm talking renders, dates, info, links etc, it just makes the thread seem more 'official'.

I see those posters all over Times Square showing what buildings are on their way. Pretty cool.

I remember when I first saw those posters a few years ago I thought they were just a bunch of crazy artistic conceptions never to be built, at least anytime soon.

This has really made my day, excellent news and all hail to STERNyc for creating a thread that will subdue our undying architectural thirsts for the next couple of years.

I think the first render is for the proposed 140 West 42nd Street.

In order right to left; 140 West 42nd St., TXSQ Tower, Reuters Building, Ernst and Young National HQ, PABT Tower, Conde Nast Building, Westin Hotel, 11 TXSQ, One Bryant Park.
