Thanks Toyota! I had a couple of my shots printed out 11x17 at the local Staples, but I was not happy with the colour reproduction. I'm going to have to find somewhere better...

This is the remaining shell of the Kaleden Hotel, in Kaleden (just south of Penticton)

^Cool. I also really like the dog walking over the slush-covered lake (nice, surreal quality.)

Having a camera with the ability to shoot crisp and clean pictures at a high ISO is worth its weight in gold. It makes handheld night shooting so much more enjoyable.

The D3 is well known for having some of the best results from high ISOs in the digital camera world. It was one of the reasons I picked it up.

ISO 3200

ISO 1000

ISO 1600

HIMS: Congrats on the baby!

giallo: Those pics are even more incredible knowing what ISO you shot them at. Astounding. Doesn't the D3 and the D700 have the same sensor?

SomeFormOFhuman: Awesome macro as always. Keep 'em coming!

Toyota74: Love your Ireland pics man! I'll make it out there someday...

Here'a a shot from me. Pretty popular on my flickr:

That's correct. The D700 is a GREAT camera. There is one major difference and a few minor ones between the D700 and the D3. The main reason I purchased the D3 over the D700 is the shutter's lifespan. The D3 can take twice as many pictures as the D700. The other little things like the microphone/recording feature, built-in vertical grip and the duel memory card slots make it much more easy to use right out of the box.
