I think the grocery store is stuck between the lobby for Broadview Manor and The Don so I don't think it can expand.

(If you're asking about Broadview Manor)

^ I don't think that supermarket really needs to expand...I always got the impression that they use their space kind of inefficiently to begin with. There's probably a lot of room for more stock without having to make the space any larger.

I guess they could expand if they bought out the Don restaurant. That might be expensive though for the amount of extra space. The store is doing OK.

New windows were installed along the lower part of the south side of the Pumping Station today. Entirely changes the look of the building!

From alstonproperties.com

30 units in the first new build, 70 on the second. First building completion is spring 2019, second is spring 2020

esquire Jun 27, 2017 3:59 AM

^ wow, pretty bold. Looks like something I'd expect to see in a magazine article about Copenhagen, Rotterdam or the like. It'll really enhance the feel of that part of Waterfront Drive.

great west metal building is so out of place on waterfront and needs to be torn down or have exterior remodelling done immediately.

that hideous green piece of s building is ruining an otherwise amazing street.

Think of it as a form of land banking... it's a matter of time before that company's owner gets an offer for the land that it can't refuse, and then we'll see something interesting happen with the site. It may not happen this year or next year, but eventually it will happen.

I drove past the Pumphouse last night - it looks great - the new windows on the south face really look awesome.

Does anyone know if they sandblasted or cleaned the brick on the south face - it really looks refreshed from what I remember last year.

That's out there and I'm a fan.

Any other renderings from other angles?

Urban recluse Jun 27, 2017 3:44 PM

Very cool! The contrast between old and new is wonderful.
