What Molson stated is wrong from the little I know. You have exclusive use of the attached balcony to your unit. You don't own the space. My guess that is a security safety measure to lock out unwilling participants from using their balconies with only prior notice in order to do necessary exterior repairs. I also guess that gives the corporation a lot more power over individual owners that habitually violate the condo rules in that space.
