If CBC had any brains, they'd film a show on your street SHH. Little Brown House on the Hill. Or "Skeeters Screech!"

I walked up to a deserted Bloor West Village SDM to pick up some meds. Bloor is packed with moms carrying bouquets, dad's pushing strollers and of course dogs in tow.

Sunny, cloudy and upper 50s. A beautiful Mother's Day, my first without.

The fog lifted in Mount Pearl and we couldn't tell until entering downtown if it would also be clear here

Not often we can discuss how the weather can turn on a dime for the better, but today's a good opportunity.

Winds from the northeast all day, temperatures hovering around 6-7 degrees, fog and drizzle. Winds shift to southerly, the skies clear, and the temperature jumps 4 degrees in under an hour.

Currently sunny and 13 at 6:30 pm.

17C and mainly cloudy. Some sunny breaks this afternoon. Another below normal day and another cloudy one. As usual, May is the shittiest month relative to normal.

Low of 11C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 30.7C.

Warmest low was Lytton, BC at 15.5C. If it holds it would be the warmest low this year in the country.

Almost happened yesterday, I guess. Can't tell clearly in the webcam, but I was also standing in the window watching at the same time (yelling caught my attention) - the second guy to come out of the house threw an axe at buddy and then chased him down the street with it lol

*****

The sun is out. It's going to get above 10C today. Rain will come, but... fuck it. No jacket today. I need it

I think Mary parked her car that way to stop th drug den crowd from parking in front of my place. Sweetheart. They've had vehicles there with people just hanging out in them for hours at a time.

Sun and cloud and 12 at 10am. Chance of showers this afternoon, but winds are currently out of the southwest (a good thing), but will become calm this afternoon, so I'd expect temperatures to drop and coastal fog to form as the onshore flow sets up from the sea breeze.

Air quality was way down all weekend. Smoke was pretty think Saturday but got slightly better Sunday. We have rain showers locally today but nothing north west near Ft Nelson. about 700km NW of us. The Ft Mack firers don't seem to be an issue yet.

It was nice Friday night and Sat morning so we got the spectacular aurora. I like thousands of other headed into Elk Island NP.

Saturday Morning Looking NW on the Old Airforce Base Runway. At one time this runway was an alternate emergency landing strip for the space shuttle.

The only weather phenomenon that can really put out fires is rain. I imagine it has rained in that area these days

Who is the yellowknife user?

It started raining - BUT - when I first got that mulcher, I left Mary a little note in a plastic bag. She must've only noticed it recently because today the note was back in my mailbox in the same plastic bag We're already gossiping about the drug den lol

18C and mostly cloudy in Moncton at 4 PM.

I'm off this week, so I was out and about doing errands. Very pleasant.

No rain i any of the regions BC or Alberta where the fires are. They missed all the precipitation the south got.
