It may happen later than some had predicted (some were saying as early as 2050) but global population growth is inevitably going to level off significantly.

As prosperity continues to increase in almost all developed countries and women there become increasingly educated their emigration and birth rates will continue to plummet.

The transfer of population from the developing to the developed world is likely to slow down considerably.

I don't what that means for Canadian immigration though, as to whether we should reduce our dependency on immigration and make Japan-style adjustments to our society and economy when we still can, or if we should "get while the gettin's good" and try and take in as many good immigrants as possible before the pool starts to dry up.
