This is an extremely impactful tower when approaching up the Schuylkill. How are we only on page 3 for this one?

I was thinking the same thing the other day. It might be that since we already had the construction of it's twin, it's a bit of a re-run.

I was 30th and Market, looking South and I was confused with what I was seeing - the way the Schuylkill turns, it looks like this tower is at the end of the street.

I'm still shocked this isn't taller. I'm aware that they have 2 more tower planned for the Devils Pocket CHOP campus, but seeing them pay $24.75 million for land in Grays Ferry is so surprising. I know about Pennovation etc. I just don't understand why they wouldn't build up the Devils Pocket site as much as possible. That area of Grays Ferry/Forgotten Bottom is a dump. They've been expanding rapidly for 20+ years, it's hard to imagine them not being able to fill more space in this new tower.

I agree, but I think they did quite a bit of negotiating with the Devil's Pocket neighborhood because I believe they needed a zoning change/variance from industrial (correct me if I'm wrong).

This must be only a couple of levels away from topped off, yes? Although I'm not sure how high its "crown" will extend beyond the last occupied floor.

CHOP SARB and 3201 Cuthbert from Citizens Bank Park by Philly SkyGuy, on Flickr

Highest floor constructed is the 16th floor, but the next set of columns are for the last taller floor. Then we should see the crown starting probably later next month

Looking at the rendering on the 1st page. It seems like the crown is ~5 floors down from top of the taller tower. However this picture is already 5 floors down from the top of the other tower. I am assuming the last columns that they just put up are part of the crown of the new building?

Has a cool wavey accordion shape I didn't see in the renders. The orange/brown paneling color matches the Roberts Center
