Regina | 2980 Chuka Blvd (Urban East) | 6 Stories | 20 M

Arwel Living has submitted for approval two 6 story Rental Buildings with 140 Rental Units over 1 level of underground parking.

The ground floors of both the buildings will be commercial with a 11,500 SF Childcare Centre at the base of one and approximately 10,250 SF of small bay commercial space with some space intended for food and beverage and smaller community focused businesses.

The project is directly adjacent to a new community park that the land developer DREAM is currently building and intends to have operational by September of 2023.

Construction is slated to start subject to approval in the Fall of 2023.

Would love something like this in Cathedral. Are you exploring that neighbourhood?

This is what should have been on the corner of Elphinstone and 13th. Sigh, that projects second reincarnation was a huge disappointment.

Ugh!

The style of the Chuka project and quality is what Regina needs more of.

We are exploring Cathedral. The debacle that was the 13th and Elphinstone project has us a touch gun shy, however Cathedral is an area we would very much like to build in and will continue pushing forward, when the time comes we will engage the community before going too far down a path!

With Holy Rosary school being torn down in the next two years (and presumably the attached HQ for Regina Catholic Schools), there may be an opportunity to redevelop that entire block.

I’m happy to report that the project was approved through an Administrative Approval process due to minimal community issues with the project, following the regulatory processes to the City.

We are starting Building Permit Drawings and weather and timing permitting anticipating a construction start on the Fall of 2023

A very handsome project. I really like the design.

It must have a really high construction budget.
