It's amazing to see a rookie defensceman control the play the way Hughes can. His skill set is only matched by Pettersson, and like Pettersson he makes good decisions faster than everybody else and his shot is better than we thought. Fun to watch hockey when you have Calder candidates year after year.

I think it's more fun to watch hockey when you're watching a competitive playoff team.

Canucks should be a bubble team this year, not sure they are quite ready for playoffs yet but could definitely get in.

Habs picking up points in every game so far. This is not the proper way to tank.

Do you really want to tank, or do you want to lose to the Bruins in the first round... lol

Tank all the way to the bank baby. Unfortunately a tank would hurt penny pincher Molsons bottom line though so first round exit it is.

The objective of every team in the NHL at the start of the season is to win the Stanley Cup.

Theres like 3 people in my family who remember the last Leafs cup.

The fact the last time the cup was won here was 1993 is still embarrassing for all of us though.

I'm not worried about Montreal's tanking ability, but New Jersey is making that look way too easy right now. It's going to be a fight for the bottom this year with several great candidates lined up right now.

I think the Oil should be a playoff bubble team this year, they look great right now, but I don't think their goaltending and defense are up to task in the long haul.

Flames are looking better, still having trouble burying the puck but the goaltending and defense are looking solid. Really impressed with Big Save Dave so far, and Hamonic has been quite solid as well. This team should just get better as the season goes along. Flames won't win the division this year but should be right around 100 points, so they should get home ice in the playoffs again.
