I wonder if you are thinking of the TC Energy / Centra Gas St. Norbert Gate Station on the west side of Hwy 75 closer to Winnipeg in La Salle. That is a bigger complex tied to the TC pipeline(s) and is one of the control / master metering locations for accessing natural gas for the Winnipeg area.

I always thought the pipeline was under full operating pressure from Gretna to Winnipeg.

at gretna its 1000 psi by time it gets to that station its around 30

I imagine this is, first and foremost, a degree of relief for the families. They will know without a doubt who was responsible, and not have to fear a "not guilty" verdict due to a legal technicality or poor prosecution of the case. Whether they feel "justice" would be done by an "insanity" decision of some kind is up to the families, but we'll just have to see how the trial progresses.

I've wondered in the past if the guilty part would be willing to share exact details of where the remains were dumped as part of a plea bargain. Now I wonder if this is more likely? I imagine it would certainly aid any kind of landfill search, shortening the length of time and cost.

I noticed today that Winnipeg doesn't have compost bins (or I'm not aware of it), like others city's that I have lived. Does anyone know if Winnipeg is working on a compost program? Google search seemed to reveal there is a private program and maybe some plans for one in the future.

They have had a compost program in section of the city as a trial. I'm pretty sure city wide roll out was approved in the fall, updated on timeline coming this summer. IIRC they were going to move garbage pickup to biweekly when the green bin program comes in,.
