They REALLY need to build this up properly... the rapid transit along the area is gonna be a massive get for builders. Not to mention the possibility a school to serve it, and a centralized park(ette). If it's done right, this is gonna change the east end more than anything on Dundas ever could

LPH lands sold to Old Oak for $17M.

Massive opportunity. Will be very interesting to watch how this unfolds over the next 20 years.

Sadly pitching BRT as the reason for this sale and redevelopment is being stated. Utter nonsense! Just like claiming BRT would bring EV buses to the LTC. These lands being sold and redeveloped and EV buses would happen regardless of the BRT project.

Noticed alot of heavy equipment doing site prep work on land behind military lands. Could mean Old Oak already has layout in mind for how the lands will be structured.

I think that is just environmental cleanup of the old military lands. They've been working in there for several weeks, if not months. The LPH building is still occupied until at least the middle of next year while their new space is being built in the old Zellers at Commissioners and Highbury.

If they are going to name Howland all the way around to where Rushland meets Highbury, why not carry the name all the way around the loop, since it's a continuous road. I don't get the "Street A" thing for that. Will also be interesting to see what becomes of the DND property, whether Old Oak will try to buy it, or someone else, and how that will mesh with this development. I can see a grocery store in there.

Do you have a link to the page where you found the LPH draft subdivision maps as when I click on the link it doesn't seem to load?

It would be great to see these lands developed. Adding density around the area is great being on the BRT route and next to Fanshawe. Such new large developments also help reduce the stigma of living EofA.

Best I could do, glad I still had it open on my browser from last night. This is east at the top, so Highbury along the bottom, CPR on the right, Oxford on the left. The notch on the bottom right is the DND property that hasn't been sold off yet.

City IT department needs to get their website act together.

Will be interesting to see the process on approving the subdivision plan going forward. How much did the planning department get involved with Old Oaks on designing the blocks.

London Fire on site again today for another fire in one of the main buildings. Even in the summer heat the vagrants are setting fires inside? Hopefully Old Oaks move quickly to get demolition permits for the newer buildings planned to be removed to take away the opportunities for this constantly happening.
