[QUOTE=stevanford1;8678483]Mississauga's City Hall is incredibly lousy:

I actually don't hate it... i'd rather it not have that hideous clock tower. Mississauga city hall is actually one of the better examples of post modern design in the country... unfortunatetly, it's not one of the best architectural movements IMO. Looks a bit like a jail. ...i don't love it... but I can't say I hate it either.

Hydro-Quebec Building is both the Head-Quarters of Hydro-Q and the Montreal office of the Premier.

Under construction in 1961

Brand new in 1962. It was the 10th tallest building in canada.

Revenue Canada building. Built probably in 1960 or 1961.

Brampton's city hall wasn't built too far apart in time from Mississauga's, but does look better. And now they've added a west wing across the street connected by overland walk way.

Mississauga's is both ugly and interesting. It depends on what angle you view it from.

I quite like the international style buildings Rico posted, Hydro Quebec’s logo looks like a super villains though!

The inside is also quite nice, I do agree that it’s an interesting example of Pomo, it’s just not really my cup of tea. However Pomo in generals not really my cup of tea either.

Hydro-Quebec's headquarters reminds me that the west has some pretty impressive electrical utility head offices too...

SaskPower Head Office, Regina

Manitoba Hydro Place, Winnipeg

BC Hydro, Vancouver

EPCOR Tower, Edmonton

I agree. The fact that it's a perfect cube is not ideal, architecturally. Extra stories would have helped it. This is a nicer example of that style:

Cobourg City Hall could be the capitol of a small state. Someone thought big, ('stie)!

My favorite city hall in Saskatchewan is Moose Jaw's

some other notable city halls in the province are Prince Albert's and Yorkton's

Other civic buildings of note in the Saskatchewan are Estevan's Court house, Melfort's old pink post office

Saskatoon recently moved from it's old Police station downtown to it's new pentagon-esque station in warehouse district on north side of downtown.

I didn't realize how much MJ's and Regina's old City Hall resemble each other...

It should be pointed out that BC Hydro's old HQ, which I believe is a condo building today, was a million times better architecturally:

So even BC Hydro couldn't resist cashing in on the real estate bubble?

Nothing is sacred in Vancouver.

I really like the BC Legislative Buildings in Victoria but I think they ruined them but lighting them up at dark.............looks like a department store.

Edmonton's 1992 City Hall. Not too PoMo (for the time anyways). I've been a big fan since Day 1.
