I'd assume they'll only have signage on the north and south elevations because they are flat and not the east and west?

It may only be on the north. I think the new signage ordinance only allows for a single top of building sign, but buildings may be able to get variances.

FWIW, Boeing has signage on three sides.

Doesn't Boeing predate the new River Sign Ordinance?

Looking at the webcam the glass is flying. Do they have to wrap the whole building, in glass, before they take the skip down? Also, whats the correct term for vertical setbacks on this one. I know thats the reference for balconies and what not horizontal but am I wrong calling them setbacks for the east side vertical "setbacks"?

Also just wondering why they wait to fireproof the v beams behind the skip when the others had already. Just trying to learn.

^ Because the entirety of the steel is obstructed by temporary skip doors and partitions. Once it's all removed, they can quickly complete the remaining work and won't have to go back.

Setbacks is fine. But if they're designed to be occupied, but are much larger than a balcony, I call them terraces. I don't know what the architects call them.

The reflection of Chicago's skyline in the glass of River North is truly something special.

I mentioned before that this one didn't really stand out in the skyline for me after it was topped out. But with the glass now reaching the top, that's changed depending on the light. Last night after sunset all the glass towers were reflecting the skyglow, and the height of this tower was very noticeable. It is huge in the skyline when the light makes it stand out.
