Does anyone know how well The Roy is doing in terms of sales? Looking at these pics and the info on their website I find myself wondering if there is a sufficiently large market for what they have built - relatively small units with high-end modern finishes - to fill that large building. Residential units facing on Barrington or Granville do not strike me as necessarily a place I would want to live nor spend big money to do so. I wonder if this development will be the same.

This one is rental I believe. So different market. I think this one will be fully leased before people start moving in.

They don't seem small to me although my perception might be warped by Vancouver. Looks like about half the livable area is for bigger units like the 3 BR 3 bath 1,700 square foot one with 450 square foot balcony. It looks great but they have no price listed ($1M+? that would be a $2-3M place here probably).

This is competing with developments like Curve or whichever one of those is condo. But there's a grocery store moving into the Maple and there are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. Proximity to the waterfront is a plus too. When the construction dust settles I think the Granville/Sackville area is going to be quite busy and attractive.

When I went to check out condos here (about 2 years ago) they were asking 1.25M for the 3 bedroom penthouses.

I was skeptical when I first saw the small, blurry rendering that was the only thing to be found online. Now that it's built I think it's looking great. Looking forward to the old Zeller's sandstone cladding to be added to the lower section. Hopefully it will still retain some of the art deco flair.

Thanks for the photos. This one looks quite nice so far, with a lot of attention to detail. I hope the Discovery Centre building facade ends up looking good.

I've registered with the Jade site but so far have not received any information/details. Does anyone know if floorplans or other details have been released?

^I recognize that angle. Last time I tried to get to the top of Metro Park the cleaning person ripped me a new one so I bailed before getting to the top. Great photos today!

Grafton Developments is now getting in touch with those who registered with them. The website now has updated floor plans. No prices though. For that you’ll have to submit an application.

This one has a small impact on the skyline. Even the Green Lantern portion is visible from far away, but I guess this development might one day be completely blocked by towers built on former TexPark site.

There's a lot riding on the success of the sandstone - I'm excited to see how this turns out!

I'm thrilled to see that. Unlike the Roy Building developers, it appears the Ghosns were serious about preserving those historic features.
