The Sterling Tower Built 1928
Prominent Toronto realtor falls from skyscraper to death. Mr. Rotenberg (Inset), had apparently stepped out on the balcony of his office suite on the 21st floor of his Sterling Towers building, Bay and Richmond Sts., when he slipped on its wet tiles. His body dropped 16 storeys before crashing into the roof of the building occupied by the Evangelical Publishers, inc. The line of his fall is indicated by the white lines

The thread has a specific topic. It's not a general post images of old buildings thread

The Canadian Pacific building was reskinned in 1929 and, like modern day reskins, it doesn't live up to the original.

I didn't know that, so it was reskinned because the original material couldn't handle the extreme climate in Toronto. It's strange that the architects for FCP didn't learn any lessons from earlier highrises.
