Does it make more sense now that all the letters are there? My camera only holds between 12 and 14 shots depending on what kind of mood its in, so I got 13 yesterday and the rest today.

Hahaha, haunted, this is awesome! I applaud your dedication in getting an image for each demise. Yes a few of them are a stretch, but it doesn't really matter. I love your idea and creativity.

One minor quibble: it's the Gashlycrumb Tinies.

Oh, I know, but when your city's name rhymes with the title, who can resist making a pun out of it? Thanks for your comment, and thank to Red UM Rebel, too.

awesome use of literature as a correlation to your city. it would be cool to see the same A-Z narration for other cities using gashlycrumb tinies.

I'm partial to Y, personally. I took that picture because it looks like the kneeling guy is clonking himself on the head with that brazier. I didn't notice until after I'd posted it that it also looks like he's about to get brained by the woman holding the incense bowl.

Thanks again, everyone.

Looking back over these, I ought to make a notation here and there.

The bear in B stands in Hendersonville, 20 miles south of Asheville. I had a shot of a sticker with a bear on it, on the door of one of the gay bars downtown that I liked a lot, but I had to ditch it after it became apparent that my camera was going to be in one of its moods where it wasn't going to take many pictures. I knew where I could effortlessly replace that one shot, whereas all the other ones were one time only affairs.

I took a picture of a terrarium in a cafe for F mainly because it looked creepy, and I thought that scary things might live inside.

The guy pictured for H was a harmless drunk guy who started jumping up and down and demanding that I take his picture so I did.

The thing in the foreground in X is the head of a bronze cat. It's looking at a bronze mouse, one of three on the wall near the bottom of the railing. I tried sticking my camera through the bars to get a shot of a mouse, but none of the pictures would come out that way, and climbing up onto the dumpster below to try again wasn't an option.

The frieze pictured for Y decorates the lobby of the Asheville Art Museum. The disco ball is there because the museum is currently exhibiting an extensive collection of paper clothing from the 60's. I took a shot using my flash, first, which created a somewhat psychadelic effect not suitable for impressionable younger forumers. So, I tried again without a flash.

It's been an unusually hot summer for Asheville this year, but ordinarily there's a noticeable difference -- between five and ten degrees, and it does tend to be a little less humid here than there. Today the high was supposed to reach 82 but only got up to 78, while in Charlotte it hit 85.
