Pittsburgh - Part 1

I was lucky enough to visit the very photogenic city of Pittsburgh in mid November. Was very impressed with the density of the buildings and the friendlyness of the people. Enjoy the show

It is physically impossible to get sick of pictures of Pittsburgh.

I am curious, are their plans to remove the highway through the middle of Point State Park?

That to me seems to like a turnoff in going to the park.

The color is actually Aztec Gold, I suspect it is that color for a number of reasons:

- Connects the North Shore and South Side to the Golden Triangle.
- It's pleasing to the eye without being a distractive color.
- Everything in the 'Burgh seems to be black or gold, (i.e. every sports team's colors).

Bry456...no plans to remove the connector from the point...yes it is a wall through the park, but the Portal Bridge/Tunnel is a pretty good and fairly attractive access route into the main section of the park. The park actually has an intimate feel despite its size and location, due to being cutoff from the city...

It's because of the city flag.

Fantastic pics! It seems like most of the Pittsburgh pics are taken during its long winters (maybe people feel more creative in the winter) so it's nice to see some that are more warm looking. Thanks a lot.
