COPENHAGEN [11] - hkskyline's Euro 2007 Tour (Yes, they're late!)
My first Copenhagen was posted over 2 years ago in February 2008. I knew I had some lingering photos waiting to be processed, but never realized it'd take 2 years to get through them all. During the wait, I had significantly increased automation to make the photo-posting process a lot faster and simpler. So now I present more of my Copenhagen visit from autumn 2007.
Hope it was worth the wait.
I wonder if the Radhus tour is not too well-known. That day, the group was quite small, but it was probably due to the clouds.
Eirgh ... the big attraction was shrouded in secrecy at the time.
Ahh .. parking!
I didn't have enough points to redeem a free night at the Starwood hotel pictured here.
This view doesn't seem like it was taken in the middle of the city.
New York has yellow taxis. Copenhagen has yellow buses.
After a long day of walking from Nyhavn to the Little Mermaid, I ended with a trip to the Bymuseum to understand a bit more about the city's history. I was not disappointed.
Not much of the 'star' pattern can be seen in the historic core, although a lot of it is still there across the river in Christianshavn.
The city's sights are easily reachable on foot if you're ambitious. They're not too badly separated on the map. I took a stroll in the Rosenborg Castle grounds, and soon ended up in Radhus again! Well, not that soon ...
Although there weren't too many of them, the floral arrangements were very pretty. I think the fact that many pots were lonely enhanced their impact.
You're under arrest for taking too many good photos.
