Canmore Nordic Centre, Deadman's Flats, & the Stoney Nation

The Canmore Nordic Centre was the venue for nordic events at the 1988 Winter Olympics. It is still used for training athletes.

Really beautiful place - and great shots - but what exactly did it have to do with the Nordics???

Thanks for your comment. It has nothing to do with the Nordics and everything to do with Nordic events like biathalon, cross country skiing etc.
