Excellence! You make me miss being able to get out of town east and west to enjoy big nature. Now that I think of it, I haven't shown love to the little nature in town.
Portland is really growing nicely.

mseattle: i suppose it's easy for anyone who's been in the PNW a while to take it for granted, but i do get outside as much as possible to remind myself why i'm here. seattle is quite the jumpoff point for some amazing big outdoors, of course.

urbanlife: bummer to hear you're hanging portland up after all these years, but the new york move is understandable. and for the love of god, get out into forest park before you go! i'm actually up early to head out there for a 15 miler today.

wisla: cut your tongue.

diskojoe: just remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. WOOF.

everyone: thanks! here's a pic from last night.

Haha, will do gio. Actually Portland will always be a home base for us, so we may end up back here later in life. We are both excited about this move to NYC cause she has wanted to go back and live there again, and I have never lived there before. Plus with my bachelor degree in architecture just sitting around collecting dust, a move like this should help get me in gear to go after a job in that field as well as go back to grad school to get my professional degree.

Beautiful! Portland is just short of perfect.
You have a great eye for detail and showing the finer points of a scene. Great job!

gio, don't take this the wrong way, but I want to have your children............

OK, maybe that was a bit strong, though I do hope you survived being run over by that gal with the green jacket on the bike?

Simply beautiful pics, thanks.

Your shooting style and skills have adapted readily to a radically different kind of photographic environment. These photos are gorgeous!

Amazing photos. Portland is in my top 5 cities to visit and threads like these justify why that is. I can't wait to visit there.

Maybe a perfect shot, and I don't say that very often. It combines everything you are known for (nature, architecture, and people) in a completely seamless fashion. Brilliant.

Absolutely stunning! Love the nature/mossy/foggy stuff, especially.
And you even make bathrooms look gorgeous...

It would be a truly perfect encapsulation of Sasso's work if there were also a cat in the pile of leaves, preferably eating from a big paper plate of greasy food in extreme closeup!
