In April/ May of this year I took a little tour of China and spent 5 of those nights in Beijing. I really loved the city and was quite amazed at it's enormity. China has given me a completely new perspective on human scale. With that, please enjoy:

When I visited last winter, that torch-top building was still under construction. I had no idea they were going to do something that crazy.

Great pics of Beijing, The Great Wall, and the countryside. However; the smog in Beijing appears to be terrible. I hope the poor air quality won't distract the athletes from the Olympics or put their health in jeopardy.

^dust storms from the Gobi desert too exacerbates the pollution. Its a big problem for the whole of Northern China. Theyre planting trees to cover an area the size of California to try and stop it but the desert still grows.
