Speaking of the airport, construction is now in full swing on a new state of the art Air Traffic Control tower.

Here is my own photo taken about a week ago (from inside the car, so quality shows accordingly)

Good to see the airport project moving forward.

And I like the shots of downtown W-B.

I don't know what happened to the other folks.

I am still here, but mostly at City Data.com

Connell Lofts are finally going to be occupied by this time next month. UofS is building a large science center that is visible from the Scranton Expressway, and the Medical School main building is almost complete.

Miss the frequent updates we used to get on this site.

Got back from 5 week trip to Ukraine not that long ago, so here are some veery quick updates

Coal Street reconstruction is now in active progress, and judging from all the heavy materials and equipment on and around Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, it looks like they're doing Phase I and II simultaneously.

Public Square/S Main Street is being redone with some sort of construction going one next to Boscov's. Will have to check it out more closely.

New 8th Street bridge appears to be very near completion.

... and probably more items, which i haven't got a chance to see yet. merry Christmas to all.

Well, I only drove through by the area on the interstate on the way to Philadelphia and New York from Ottawa twice, but I must say this corner of Pennsylvania has some of the best scenery that I ever drove through...Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Poconos off to the side..Next time, we should stay over in Scranton or Wilkes Barre even for a day.

I'm going to be in Wilkes-Barre for a week while on business at my company's shop in Mountain Top. Can't wait to have a little spare time to visit both W-B and Scranton. Awesome photos!
