Indeed it is. My university now calls French fries "Patriot Fries," as do many other places because France would not support the war in Iraq. Stupid, eh?

Yes, Wikipedia confirms it's the former name. Which I thought but wanted to confirm.

And what an asinine name it was. It was devised as a political statement, and one based on a basic misunderstanding to begin with, the idea that we were attacked because of "freedom." It was embarassing.
