Another article about the Esplanade development planned for Chateau. No renderings. Key details:
1. 15-acre development breaking ground in 2020
2. 700 units of housing (mix of condos, townhouses, and apartments) costing $500 million.
3. Another new hotel
4. Food/manufacturing incubators, a water taxi, and marina and kayak rentals
5. There may be a small museum on site.
6. About 300,000 square feet of office space is planned.
7. And of course the giant, climate-controlled Ferris wheel.
The developers are "hopeful" there will be an eventual T station, and that something can be done regarding the "Great Wall of 65" which limits pedestrian access to Chateau from Manchester.
